Silent Yachts and Luxe Elite Yachts have a new partnership focused on introducing solar-electric technology into a high-end, professionally managed yacht co-ownership model.
The partnership makes available a Silent Yachts solar-powered catamaran through a professionally managed fractional structure in the Caribbean.
The concept brings together Silent Yachts’ expertise in solar-electric propulsion with Luxe Elite Yachts’ experience in yacht management and shared ownership models, introducing a more flexible ownership format that simplifies access to electric yachting and reduces operational complexity.
The SY62 3-Deck Open by Silent Yachts will be the first solar-powered yacht offered through co-ownership in Luxe Elite Yachts’ portfolio. Fully electric and emission-free, this catamaran is designed for quiet, efficient and autonomous cruising. The vessel features an open three-deck layout with flybridge. Accommodation is in four cabins, each with a private head.
“By working with Luxe Elite Yachts, we’re providing owners with the opportunity to enjoy sustainable and efficient cruising in a more flexible way,” says Steve Bell, chairman of Silent Yachts. “Through shared ownership, we’re making the Silent Yachts experience more accessible, effortless and intelligently managed.”
The co-ownership model will be structured into four equal shares, each representing 25 per cent participation and providing ten weeks of usage per year, with rotating schedules.
Owners may also choose to charter unused weeks, creating the opportunity to offset operating costs.
The first yacht is planned to be based at Village Cay Marina in Road Harbour, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
While the yacht is planned to operate in the Caribbean, this shared ownership opportunity is available to clients across north America and the Mediterranean.
Costs and responsibilities are shared among owners, while all yacht operations are managed by Luxe Elite Yachts. The catamaran is fully equipped and prepared ahead of each stay, supported through a concierge-style service.
“Co-ownership is the smartest way to enjoy yachting at the highest level. Owners gain meaningful time on the water while sharing operating costs,” says Nicole East, CEO of Luxe Elite Yachts. “The SY62 is a rare combination of quiet luxury and solar innovation. It represents a powerful addition to our fleet and a compelling next step for the luxury buyer.”
