Two brokers to launch private yacht events this September

This article was edited on 30 April 2026 to make it clear that the companies mentioned are acting independently of each other.

As the boat show season gears up for another summer, two major UK brokers are taking a different tack. Ancasta and Clipper Marine are individually launching private, appointment-led yacht events this September, reflecting a wider shift towards curated, high-intent buying experiences in the sector.

A different approach to the September sales window

Ancasta, a yacht sales and services group, says it will be debuting a new yachting event to offer a personalised, appointment-led experience for ‘serious buyers’ – whether they are first time buyers or those looking to upgrade. The company is aligning the event with the key traditional autumn purchase period.

Clients and potential owners will be invited to explore an extensive selection of yachts in an exclusive, customer focused environment. The idea is to offer the time and space to engage deeply with each model, says Ancasta.

Following the success of our Spring and Autumn Shows, we’ve identified a clear shift in buyer expectations,” notes Matthew Shave, CEO of Ancasta Group.

“Clients are increasingly seeking a more considered, private environment in which to view and evaluate yachts.

“Purchasing a yacht is a significant decision. This new format allows us to offer a more personalised and immersive experience, where clients can explore options at their own pace, supported by dedicated brokers and brand specialists.

“Working closely with our shipyard partners, we are curating an event that not only presents a strong cross-section of our portfolio, but also enables prospective owners to experience yachts properly – including sea trials – within a focused and professional setting.”

Emphasis on quality of engagement over scale

Ancasta’s showcase will include the latest launches from Groupe Beneteau’s portfolio, including Lagoon Catamarans and Prestige Motor Yachts, alongside a broader display of brands represented by the Ancasta Group.

A selection of pre-owned yachts will also be available, creating a comprehensive offering in one distinguished location (it’ll take place on the River Hamble 22-27 September).

This new event format places emphasis on quality of engagement over scale, with tailored appointments, elevated hospitality and a discreet atmosphere designed to support informed decision-making, the company says.

Ancasta isn’t the only company which is utilising the autumn to move closer to its clients.

Clipper Marine’s private showcase strategy

Seperately, Clipper Marine says it’ll extend personal invitations to an ‘exceptional’ private yacht showcase at Swanwick Marina, also on the River Hamble. That’ll take place from 18 to 27th September.

The company says it “has chosen to invest directly in our clients’ experience. By redirecting the significant costs associated with large-scale exhibitions, we are able to offer enhanced value, more competitive opportunities and a truly personalised service.”

“At a time when major boat shows can feel crowded and impersonal, this event offers something distinctly different: a refined, invitation-led experience,” says Clipper. It will market the event as an opportunity for buyers to step away from the noise of a bigger show and into a “calm, elegant setting” where buyers can explore, compare and truly connect with their next yacht.

Clipper guests will enjoy privileged access to a hand-selected fleet from the Bavaria Yachts range, including both sailing yachts and motorboats. Alongside these new models, an extensive collection of premium pre-owned vessels will also be available to view, featuring not only Bavarias but a variety of respected brands.
