Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has signed a contract with Sunreef Yachts for the construction of a customised Sunreef Ultima 88, understood to be his first yacht purchase.
The Spanish tennis player, a multiple Grand Slam winner and current world number one, says he selected the 27-metre model after considering options that would provide space for leisure during time away from competition. He will use the yacht for private use with family and friends.
The news comes the same week Alcaraz was knocked out of the 2026 Miami Open after suffering a surprise third-round defeat to American Sebastian Korda.

“I decided to order the Ultima 88 with Sunreef because I feel they are not only experts in luxury catamarans but true trendsetters,” reads a statement issued by Sunreef, attributed to Alcaraz. “Building with them gives me confidence that this will be the perfect yacht to unwind and recharge.”
Alcaraz joins the Sunreef stable with fellow Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, who owns a custom 80 Sunreef Power, and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, who recently placed an order for an 80 Sunreef Power Next catamaran.
Francis Lapp, founder and president of Poland-based Sunreef Yachts, adds: “Carlos is another remarkable personality joining the house of Sunreef – a community of visionary owners whose achievements inspire the world and bring fresh energy to the yachting lifestyle.”

The Sunreef Ultima 88 is part of the builder’s Ultima range of power catamarans. The model combines a multihull configuration with a planing hull form and has a reported top speed of 26 knots.
At the stern, the design includes a lounge with access to the water via a hydraulic platform and fold-out side terraces. A garage is integrated into the aft section to store equipment, including a jet ski.
The interior layout for this build will include four guest cabins and an owner’s suite positioned forward on the main deck. The master stateroom spans the beam and features large windows for natural light, along with an en suite bathroom with a bathtub. Outdoor spaces include a flybridge with seating and dining areas.
