Electric propulsion specialist ePropulsion is transitioning to a direct presence in the market through the formation of ePropulsion Deutschland. After working with Ditoma GmbH successfully for a decade, the newly established ePropulsion Deutschland GmbH will now manage operations in Germany.
This move marks a strategic shift towards closer global integration under the direct leadership of ePropulsion Technology Co. and the company’s continued investment in the region.
Until now, Ditoma GmbH has played an essential role in introducing and expanding the ePropulsion brand across the German market. According to ePropulsion, the company helped build a robust distribution network, cultivated lasting relationships with customers, and defined a clear path for future growth.
Michael Held, who previously led the ePropulsion division at Ditoma, will step into the role of managing director for ePropulsion Deutschland GmbH.
ePropulsion reported a 40 per cent year-on-year increase in sales for 2024.
“Our journey in Germany has already been marked by many successes,” ePropulsion CEO Danny Tao said. “Dirk and his team have laid a solid foundation, and now we are ready to build further. The establishment of ePropulsion Germany GmbH allows us to focus more clearly and strategically on our presence in this vital region.”
Moving forward, Ditoma will return its attention to the wholesale distribution of automotive paint and accessories. The company will, however, continue to support ePropulsion with operational functions such as logistics.
The transition was initiated by Ditoma’s managing director, Dirk Weißenborn, who sees it as a timely evolution given the brand’s growing global ambitions. “The market continues to change rapidly, and we believe tighter international collaboration is more important than ever,” says Weißenborn. “ePropulsion has reached a level of maturity where direct management will benefit its continued development in Germany and throughout Europe.”
For customers and partners, ePropulsion says daily operations will remain unchanged. The current team responsible for sales, marketing and service will join the new company, ensuring that service continuity is preserved.
“This transition enables us to collaborate more closely with our colleagues in China and around the world,” says Held. “That connection gives us the ability to respond more quickly to shifts in the market, understand our customers more deeply and continuously refine our service. On top of that, we have new marketing strategies and products in the pipeline, many of which were shaped by insights and feedback gathered from users right here in Germany.”
