Exhibitor registration opens for boot Düsseldorf 2027

Exhibitor registration for boot Düsseldorf 2027 has opened, ahead of the event taking place from 23 to 31 January 2027 at Messe Düsseldorf.

Planning for the 2027 edition of the water sports trade fair is already under way, four months after boot 2026 closed its doors. All water sports-related sectors can now register online via the boot website.

“This year, we have felt the special spirit, the magic and, at the same time, the business engine of boot,” says boot director Petros Michelidakis. “In Düsseldorf, the latest trends come to life. This makes boot the international innovation forum and barometer for the entire water sports industry. I look forward to every single conversation with you, our exhibitors and to working together to make January in Düsseldorf the centre of the global maritime market once again.”

Organisers report that boot 2026 attracted more than 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries. Around 69,000 visitors travelled from elsewhere in Europe and overseas, while 44 per cent made purchases during the event.

The organisers state that boot 2026 generated an international media reach of almost 1.3bn. They also report that 83 per cent of exhibitors were satisfied with their business results at the event, while 96 per cent said the show reached the intended target audience.

Layout changes for 2027

Construction work at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre is prompting several changes to the hall layout for boot 2027. Hall 9 is being refurbished and will not be available during the 2027 and 2028 editions of the trade fair.

Exhibitors presenting RIBs, inflatable boats, dinghies and tenders that were previously located in Hall 9 will move to Hall 17 as part of the Motorboat Walk. Surfing and paddling exhibitors are set to relocate to Hall 12, home to the XXL pool and the World of Paddling feature area. Diving exhibitors will again be grouped together in Hall 13, while the Destination Boatlife section in Hall 14 will host charter operators, houseboats and marina providers.

Organisers state that access from the exhibition centre’s north entrance to Halls 10, 11 and 12 will remain open throughout the construction work. A covered walkway through Hall 9 will provide access between the western and eastern halls.

Michelidakis says: “We are, of course, designing the walkway in the boot ‘look and feel’, making it attractive for our visitors. Our new hall layout ensures quick passage both for those wishing to move from Halls 4 and 5 to the Eastern Halls and for visitors coming from the North Entrance. Our colleagues at the Caravan Salon have already had positive experiences with this, and we will now be able to implement it effectively.”

Organisers say the event will continue to focus on bringing together exhibitors, dealers, charter companies and destinations serving the international water sports sector.

“We have seen how positively the 2026 boot has impacted the success of the water sports industry. boot and you – the exhibitors, dealers, charter companies and destinations – will once again have the shared task in 2027 of bringing the international industry together for a major gathering in Düsseldorf,” adds Michelidakis.

“Over the coming months, we will steadily step up our marketing efforts to captivate and mobilise people in all key target markets for boot in January 2027. This successful commitment and the resulting high international and professional calibre of our visitors set us apart in Düsseldorf and ensure a successful start to the new year for the industry. This truly makes us unique worldwide.”

boot Düsseldorf will occupy Halls 1 to 17 and is expected to host nearly 1,500 exhibitors. Product sectors range from sailing boats and motorboats to luxury yachts, dinghies and equipment for activities such as diving, surfing, kite surfing, stand-up paddling, skimboarding and canoeing.

The exhibition will also include stage presentations, workshops and practical activities for recreational participants and industry professionals.

In cooperation with the European Boating Industry, the Blue Innovation Dock will return as a forum covering political, economic, technological and media topics.
