The Superyacht Coating Conference 2025 has confirmed Michael Breman, sales director at Lürssen Yachts, and Tom de Vries, managing director at Royal de Vries shipyards – Feadship, as keynote speakers for this year’s event.
The conference, themed ‘Driving Sustainability, Quality, and Innovation in Superyacht Coatings’, will take place on November 18 and 19 at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam as part of Metstrade 2025.
Organised by Metstrade in partnership with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) and the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss), the event brings together senior professionals from across the superyacht world.
Both Breman and de Vries are recognised for their leadership in the design, construction and delivery of some of the most iconic superyachts. They will discuss key topics including sustainability, technological innovation, client expectations and lifecycle management.
Michael Breman of Lürssen Yachts comments: “The Superyacht Coatings Conference brings together the leading specialists, shipyards and suppliers who drive quality and innovation. I’m looking forward to sharing perspectives on where the industry is heading and how collaboration can help us meet future challenges.”
Tom de Vries, managing director of Feadship, adds: “This is a moment for the superyacht community to look beyond the surface – both literally and figuratively – and to explore how we can continue to lead in craftsmanship, sustainability and long-term value for our clients.”
The conference will accommodate up to 250 guests, offer networking opportunities and facilitate in-depth discussions on the role of coatings in enhancing performance, aesthetics and sustainability.
Supporting the event are coating manufacturers, including AkzoNobel, Hempel, BAE Systems Inc., MB92, Pettit Paint, De Koning Group and Wrede Consulting GmbH, with additional partners to be announced.
