Turkish shipyard Numarine has announced a significant technological upgrade for its first-of-series 27XP explorer yacht, set to debut this May. Developed in partnership with marine technology specialist Sleipner, the new Mk2 Super Silent Pack centres on its Hybrid Power Centre.
The new system is a fully integrated 48-volt DC architecture that, the shipyard says, delivers higher power output through smaller, lighter cabling, reducing energy losses and enabling extended periods of silent operation at anchor and underway.
This smaller 27-metre model is set to expand the shipyard’s existing explorer lineup, building on what is reportedly one of the quietest operating profiles in its class, and follows on from the collaboration with Silent Line on the 30XP models.
The Mk2 Super Silent Pack features a 92.8kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery bank supported by 5.6kW of solar panels. Together, these are designed to support generator-free operation both day and night while at anchor. A dedicated Sleep Mode is also available to further reduce nighttime energy consumption.

When underway, the battery bank is charged directly from the main engines via PTO generators. The hybrid system coordinates power from multiple sources, engine-drive generation, solar panels, shore power, and advanced load management, optimising energy efficiency and supporting high-demand systems such as stabilisers, thrusters, and station-keeping functions.
The arrangement is intended to reduce generator running and reliability as well as associated maintenance requirements while maintaining consistent power availability.
Patrik von Sydow, Numarine’s CEO (who was appointed by Numarine in December 2025), says: “The result is quiet, fume-free living at anchor and underway, dramatically reduced generator hours, extended service intervals, and lower maintenance demands.

“With the Mk2 Super Silent Pack and Sleipner’s Hybrid Power Centre, the 27XP establishes a future-ready electrical foundation that combines technical sophistication with the refined, effortless comfort increasingly expected of today’s explorer yachts.”
“I would like to congratulate Numarine on a fantastic project. The 27XP sets a new benchmark for what I believe many owners will come to expect from future yachts in terms of comfort, efficiency, and quiet operation,” says Marius Torjusen, chief commercial officer of Sleipner.
The 27XP with the Mk2 Super Silent Pack integrated is scheduled for launch in May 2026.
