Saxdor expands north with new Canadian dealerships

Saxdor Yachts has strengthened its footprint in North America by appointing two new exclusive dealers in Canada – Cabano Marine in Quebec and DT Powersports & Marine in Ontario – marking the Finnish boatbuilder’s official entry into the Canadian market. The move builds on a 49 per cent year-over-year sales increase in the United States, signalling continued growth momentum across the Americas.

Keith Miller, vice president of North American sales at Saxdor Yachts, says the partnerships reflect a deliberate strategy to match the company’s rapid expansion with local expertise. “Their experience, reputation and commitment to customer service align seamlessly with our brand values,” he says. “Having them as our representatives in Eastern Canada will enable us to provide sales and service on a broad scale while maintaining a personalised, local touch.”

Cabano Marine brings more than 30 years of marine retail experience in Quebec, while DT Powersports & Marine operates over 20,000 square feet of facilities serving central Ontario. Both dealerships will offer the full Saxdor range – from compact dayboats to larger cruisers – along with comprehensive after-sales support.

Saxdor chief executive officer Erna Rusi says Canada represents an important next step in the company’s global growth strategy. “We’re enthusiastic to finally meet the growing demand for Saxdor in Canada and to make our boats available to Canadian customers,” she says. “We see great potential in this market, where our wide range of models allows every boater to find exactly what they’re looking for.”

The appointments extend Saxdor’s dealer network across the Americas, joining established partnerships in the United States and Mexico. By working with customer-focused, established retailers, the company continues to pursue its goal of accessible, design-led and technology-driven boating.
