Teledyne Technologies has promoted Gregoire Outters to president of its Teledyne Marine Group. He continues to oversee the maritime businesses within the digital imaging segment and now also takes on responsibility for the company’s marine activities in the instrumentation segment, with immediate effect.
The Teledyne Marine Group covers subsea vehicles, marine imaging systems for surface and subsea use, radar systems, navigation electronics, interconnect products, marine instruments and data collection and distribution systems.
“Under Gregoire’s leadership, Teledyne’s Maritime businesses have grown organically and through the successful integration of multiple acquisitions,” says George Bobb, president and CEO of Teledyne Technologies.
“In this new leadership role, Gregoire will focus on accelerating the growth of the Teledyne Marine Group by leveraging its extensive capabilities in key areas such as autonomous vehicles and related sensors, position, navigation and timing solutions, and the commercial maritime market to give our customers the technologies and solutions they need in the challenging marine environment.”
Outters has more than 23 years of experience in thermal imaging and 13 years in the maritime sector. He joined Cedip Infrared Systems in Paris in 2003, moving into senior roles and later serving as general manager after FLIR Systems, Inc. acquired the business in 2008.
In 2013, he relocated to the United Kingdom to lead the Raymarine business within FLIR, and remained in that position following Teledyne’s acquisition of FLIR in 2021.
Most recently, he served as senior executive vice president and general manager of the maritime businesses in Teledyne’s digital imaging segment.
Teledyne provides digital imaging products and software, instrumentation, aerospace and defence electronics and engineered systems. Its operations are based primarily in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom and across Western and Northern Europe.
