Electric propulsion specialist, Torqeedo has signed as the main sponsor of the new Blue Innovation Dock (BID) at boot Düsseldorf.
“We’re thrilled to support the Blue Innovation Dock organised by the European Boating Industry,” says Oliver Glück, vice president marketing for Torqeedo. “Forums like the BID serve as a platform to focus on sustainable solutions, promote innovations and new technologies, and bring visionaries, investors, industry leaders and politicians together to define a sustainable future for the marine industry.”
The BlD will host presentations on electric and hybrid drives, alternative fuels, environmentally friendly manufacturing and materials, the marina of the future and tech talks by experts in the field, as well as provide a B2B lounge where in-depth stakeholder discussions can take place.
“At Torqeedo, we’re creating the technology and the system architecture for electric mobility on the water, whether it’s for recreational use or commercial. But there’s a lot more to be done and it will take everyone working together,” continues Glück. “By sponsoring the Blue Innovation Dock, we hope to push the envelope, to spark innovation within the industry and make meaningful connections that end in technological solutions that will allow us to enjoy and preserve our boating lifestyle without destroying the environment.”
Part of the DEUTZ Group, Torqeedo was founded in Starnberg in 2005, The company develops and manufactures electric, and hybrid drives from 0.5 to 100 kW for commercial applications and recreational use.
