Tuxedo Yachting House enters superyacht sector with Ceccarelli 40 project

Tuxedo Yachting House has presented the Ceccarelli 40, a 40-metre aluminium superyacht project, in Milan. The yacht is the first vessel in a new full-aluminium series called the Ceccarelli Collection.

The collection is named after siblings and founders/owners Francesco and Laura Ceccarelli, and marks the entry of the Ceccarelli family into the superyacht segment. The shipyard, launched in 2020, has previously built vessels up to 20m.

The project has been developed by an all-Italian team, including Francesco Paszkowski Design, interiors by architect Margherita Casprini and exterior design by Sebastian Martinez. Naval architecture has been developed by Names, led by Francesco Rogantin.

The Ceccarelli 40 adopts a contemporary design approach characterised by clean lines and balanced proportions.

At the bow, a lounge area is positioned beneath the wheelhouse, with sunbathing space and lockers influenced by automotive design. The wheelhouse incorporates a windshield inclined aft, contributing to a low-profile silhouette.

Names has been responsible for naval architecture, basic design and part of the detailed engineering, including structure, systems and mechanical installations.

The semi-displacement hull has been optimised through CFD hydrodynamic analyses to limit installed power while achieving a top speed exceeding 18 knots.

The standard propulsion configuration comprises two diesel engines driving conventional shaft lines with high-efficiency fixed-pitch propellers. The project is also prepared for the potential installation of a hybrid propulsion system with battery packs.

Monaco-based TWW Yachts, which has offices in major European yachting hubs, will act as the central agent for the exclusive sale of the superyacht.

Preliminary technical specifications include a 40m LOA, beam of 8.5m, draft of 2.2m, light displacement of 260t and gross tonnage of 400GT. Fuel capacity is 40,000 litres and water capacity is 7,000 litres.

Maximum speed is 18 knots, cruising speed is 15 knots and range at 11 knots is 4,000 nautical miles.

Propulsion is provided by two MAN V12 D2862LE436 diesel engines, each rated at 1,324 kW (1,800 mHP) at 2,300 rpm.
