German component manufacturer and automotive supplier Webasto has appointed Yanik Cantieni as chief financial officer, effective 1 June 2026.
He succeeds Joerg Bremer, who has served in the role since November 2024. Webasto says it mutually agreed with Bremer to end their collaboration on 31 May 2026, with his departure taking effect on that date.
Cantieni brings more than 25 years of experience in the global automotive industry. As CFO, he will take responsibility for the company’s financial management and performance. His appointment comes as Webasto continues a restructuring programme that began in 2025, including the loss of 300 jobs in Germany amid challenging market conditions.
Webasto CEO Joerg Buchheim says: “Yanik Cantieni’s broad operational financial expertise and his many years of international experience will be of great help to us in the ongoing transformation in a volatile market environment.
“Joerg Bremer supported us with his expertise through a crucial phase. I would like to sincerely thank him for that.”
Martin Stark, chairman of the supervisory board of Webasto SE, adds: “The supervisory board would like to thank Mr. Bremer for his commitment and extraordinary dedication to Webasto and wishes him continued success in his professional and personal future.”
Cantieni says: “I am delighted to become part of Webasto – a company with a long tradition and a promising new course for the future, known for product innovation, customer orientation, collaboration and team culture. My goal is to work together with our dedicated colleagues to set the decisive course for the company’s sustainable stability and future growth.”
Webasto supplies automotive manufacturers globally with roof, battery and thermo systems. The Webasto Marine division specialises in climate control and comfort systems for boats and yachts.
