Bellini targets design-led buyers as Astor 68 sells first unit before debut

Bellini Group has sold the first Astor 68 ahead of the model’s public launch, as the Italian builder looks to differentiate itself through design and lifestyle positioning rather than a conventional product-focused unveiling.

The new model will make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 8-13 September 2026. Ahead of the show, Bellini is introducing the yacht through a digital presentation created with Argentine visual artist Andrés Reisinger, a move which it says takes the launch beyond the traditional yachting audience and into the worlds of design and contemporary art.

Art-led launch strategy

Rather than focusing on technical specifications, the digital presentation centres on the experience of being on the water. Reisinger’s work presents the Astor 68 as ‘both a tangible object and an evocative expression of life at sea, freedom and tranquillity’.

The artist, who is based between Madrid and Barcelona, has exhibited work at institutions including the Moco Museum, Palazzo Strozzi, Design Museum Gent, Faena Art, Christie’s and the Vitra Design Museum.

For Bellini, the collaboration represents an attempt to reach consumers who view yachts through a wider lifestyle and design lens rather than purely as marine products.

Focus on space and connection to the water

The Astor 68 is built around three design principles: connection, flexibility and transparency.

One of the yacht’s most notable features is a beach area measuring more than 37 square metres on the lower deck. It’s positioned less than one metre above the waterline.

Bellini says the multi-level layout maintains visual and physical links between interior and exterior spaces. The salon and forward social areas are intended to preserve a sense of openness throughout the vessel.

Continuing expansion of the Astor range

The Astor 68 is the second yacht launched by the Clusane d’Iseo-based builder in 2026, and follows the Astor 36 (launched in 2024) and the Astor 58 (introduced in 2025).

Bellini Yacht was founded in 2023 and is listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market. The company’s design approach was developed alongside Brunello Acampora and Norberto Ferretti, and focuses on minimalist styling, efficient use of space and onboard functionality.

Full technical specifications, pricing and availability are expected to be released before the Cannes Yachting Festival.

UK brokerage Sebino Yachts is inviting prospective buyers to register interest via its website.
