In a sector where fragmentation can slow projects and inflate costs, Amico & Co is betting on integration. With the launch of Amico Marine, the Italian group is bringing together its refit yards, marina infrastructure and technical services under a single brand – signalling a shift towards a more connected, end-to-end model for superyacht support.
The newly formed Amico Marine represents an integrated system in refit and services for yachts and superyachts.
“With the launch of Amico Marine, we aim to clearly and consistently represent our identity: a network of companies providing full technical and operational support to owners, crews, and managers at every stage of a superyacht’s life,” says Alberto Amico, founder & partner of Amico & Co.

What sits within the Amico Marine group?
Alongside the main refit activities of Amico & Co and Amico Loano, Amico Marine includes the Gatti boatyard (recently upgraded and capable of offering high-quality standards for boats and tenders up to 30 meters), Waterfront Marina with 26 berths for yachts up to 120 metres, revealed in 2021, and Acier-Sarimi’s metalwork workshops, supporting the shipyard production cycles.
“Our operational model is based on direct and continuous relationships with clients, prioritising collaboration, planning, and process control to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost transparency,” says Alberto Amico. “Amico Marine embodies tradition, technical expertise, and long-term vision, strengthening our international presence and reaffirming our commitment to delivering excellence with constant attention to the client.”
Strengthening Genoa’s position as a global hub
The setup is completed by Amico Servizi (general services and operational coordination) and Marine Tools (specialised digital solutions for yacht management processes). Services for clients and crews are delivered through Genoa Superyacht Hub, a company managed in partnership with the Pesto Group, also engaged in territorial marketing. That was set up five years ago to promote the companies’ combined incoming, assistance, technical and hospitality services.
“The Amico Marine system represents the evolution of our strategic vision and the result of the long growth journey of Amico & Co,” says Bruno Guglielmini, CEO of Amico & Co.
“A journey characterised by continuous investment in innovation, technology, infrastructure, and human capital,” he adds. “By integrating shipyard operations with marina services, technical services, and the local area, we have contributed to making Genoa one of the world’s leading hubs of excellence in the sector – a position we intend to further strengthen.”
As competition intensifies among Mediterranean refit hubs, the creation of Amico Marine positions Genoa not just as a destination, but as a fully integrated ecosystem for superyachts. By aligning infrastructure, expertise and digital tools under one banner, Amico & Co is making a clear statement about the future of refit.
