The Next Generation Propulsion Showcase will return to Metstrade 2026 (17-19 November) with a wider range of propulsion technologies on display, and applications to take part in the showcase are now open.
Organised through a partnership between Metstrade and the International Electric Marine Association (IEMA), the showcase will bring together technologies currently entering the marine propulsion market and those still under development.
The exhibition area will focus on developments in electric and hybrid propulsion systems, alternative fuels, advanced propulsion technologies, system integration and zero-emission solutions.
The showcase will be accessible to marine industry professionals attending the Metstrade 2026 event in Amsterdam.
“What’s most striking today is the diversity of technologies being developed across the propulsion sector,” says Adria Jover, president and founder of the International Electric Marine Association (IEMA).
“The speed at which these technologies are progressing is remarkable. Every year we see new technologies entering the market – faster, quieter and designed for plug-and-play simplicity that frees up interior space and broadens design possibilities for builders. The Next Generation Propulsion Showcase is designed to highlight these developments and recognise the companies that are leading the way.”
Display positions are limited. Applications will be reviewed by the showcase committee against the event’s technical standards and objectives before being processed in the order they are received.
Companies developing propulsion technologies can apply to take part in the exhibition area.
