D-Marin acquires Olbia Marina in Sardinia

Marina company D-Marin has acquired Olbia Marina on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, supporting the company’s Mediterranean growth strategy and reinforcing Italy as its largest regional portfolio.

Under the agreement, D-Marin will take over Marina di Olbia Yacht Service (MOYS) and Molo Brin.

Olbia Marina joins D-Marin’s portfolio alongside Camille Rayon on the Côte d’Azur and the company’s existing Ligurian and Tuscan network comprising Marina degli Aregai, Marina di San Lorenzo, Marina di Varazze, Porto Mirabello, and Marina di Livorno. According to D-Marin, the addition of Olbia establishes a strategic ‘Golden Triangle’ connecting the French Riviera, mainland Italy, and Sardinia. This regional cluster is designed to facilitate seamless cruising across key Mediterranean yachting hubs, allowing owners to benefit from a unified digital ecosystem and standardised service levels across the D-Marin portfolio.

The marina has 270 berths accommodating vessels up to 150 metres, and a maximum draught of 5.2 metres. It also features a 200-metre fuel dock, the largest on the northern Sardinian coast, capable of refuelling up to seven yachts simultaneously.

Oliver Dörschuck, CEO of D-Marin, says: “Olbia and Molo Brin represent one of the Mediterranean’s most important gateways for yachting. Their scale, location and infrastructure make them a natural fit for D-Marin, and we see significant opportunity to bring our operational expertise, digital innovation and service philosophy to what are already two very well-regarded destinations. This acquisition builds on a period of sustained and strategic expansion for D-Marin across the Mediterranean.”

Located seven minutes from both Olbia Costa Smeralda International Airport and Olbia city centre, the marina offers excellent access for owners and crew. The ferry terminal is also only minutes away. The area serves as a key gateway to premier Mediterranean cruising grounds, including the Costa Smeralda, the Tavolara marine protected area, the La Maddalena archipelago, and Corsica.

Guests at the Olbia marina will benefit from the full D-Marin suite of services, including the D-Marin app for remote berth management, Smart Pedestal and Sensor technology for real-time vessel monitoring, and initiatives such as Happy Berth Days, which allow annual berth holders to enjoy complimentary stays across the D-Marin selection of premium marinas encouraging seamless cruising between destinations such as Sardinia, mainland Italy and the Côte d’Azur.

D-Marin now manages 27 marinas across nine countries, serving more than 50,000 customers annually with over 14,000 berths, including more than 1,000 dedicated to superyachts.

D-Marin is currently redeveloping Marina Livorno – a project developed in collaboration with the Azimut|Benetti Group.
