Freedom Boat Club reaches 450 locations worldwide

Freedom Boat Club, a business of Brunswick Corporation, has opened its 450th global location at Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, New Jersey. The latest opening marks another stage in the company’s expansion since Brunswick acquired the business in 2019, with the network now covering more than 35 US states, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.

The new location, overlooking the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, is owned by Freedom franchisees Bev and Tom Rosella.

“This milestone is a direct result of disciplined execution, a differentiated model and the enduring appeal of the boating lifestyle,” says Cecil Cohn, Freedom Boat Club president. “We’ve scaled with purpose by expanding into high-demand markets, strengthening the member experience, and building a global network united by a shared mission to get more people on the water.”

New locations add to wider expansion

The 450-location milestone comes as Freedom Boat Club continues to add locations in domestic and international markets. Recent and newly announced clubs include:

  • Sète, France (a new FBC of Cap d’Agde location) and Gruissan, France
  • Cleveland Harbor Marina, Ohio
  • Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey
  • Hutchinson Island, Savannah, Georgia

“This trajectory reflects the growing appeal of flexible ways to enjoy life on the water,” says Cohn. “We’re scaling a model that expands access, introduces more people to boating, and positions Freedom Boat Club as an important driver of the industry’s long-term growth.”

Freedom Boat Club forms part of Brunswick Corporation’s marine operations, which include more than 60 brands, including Mercury Marine, Attwood, Simrad, Lowrance, Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, Bayliner, Lund and Harris.

Brunswick is headquartered in Mettawa, Illinois, and has approximately 14,500 employees operating in 26 countries.
