IBEX expands team with three appointments

The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) has appointed three new team members to roles across education, sales and marketing.

The appointments see April Bruffy-Metzger join as experiential and digital sales manager, Dana Howe as education and content manager and Madison Ambrose as marketing specialist.

Bruffy-Metzger brings 25 years of experience in media and sponsorship sales. Her background includes integrated media programmes, event sponsorships, exhibit sales, digital marketing, content marketing and live events. She has previously held sales leadership positions at EndeavorB2B, Access Intelligence, Hyve Group, Houston Business Journal and other media and events organisations.

In her new role, she will oversee experiential activations, sponsorship opportunities, digital products and IBEX 365 initiatives. She will also work on developing revenue opportunities beyond exhibit sales while managing customer relationships throughout the year.

Howe joins IBEX with more than 10 years of experience in trade show education, content development, sponsorship sales and event management, largely within the outdoor industry. She has worked across media, membership, programming, partnerships and event development.

She will lead the development and delivery of the IBEX Education Conference and contribute to the organisation’s year-round content programme. Her responsibilities also include drawing on educational material from previous IBEX events and Professional BoatBuilder Magazine alongside current industry topics.

Ambrose joins as marketing specialist, having previously worked in marketing roles within the marine sector. Her experience includes social media management, content creation, event promotion and customer engagement.

She will support IBEX’s marketing activity through social media, email marketing, exhibitor and attendee communications, as well as campaign delivery.

As IBEX continues to evolve to meet the industry’s needs, their contributions will play an important role in strengthening our content, customer engagement and business development efforts alike.”

IBEX 2026 is scheduled to take place at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida from 6 to 8 October 2026.
