Founder Podcast Series returns for Cannes

The Founder Podcast Series will return for a second season, continuing the collaboration to spotlight some of the leisure marine sector’s most ambitious founders.

The Founder Podcast Series, a collaboration between Yachting Ventures, Marine Industry News, and the Ben Taylor Podcast, explores innovation, leadership, and the evolving opportunities across the marine and yachting sectors.

Season 2 is due to be shot at the Cannes Yachting Festival and will showcase five founders.

The first series, filmed earlier this year at the Palma International Boat Show, generated strong engagement across Yachting Ventures, Ben Taylor and Marine Industry News channels, receiving over 23,800 video views and more than 51 hours of watch time across LinkedIn and Instagram.

Series 2

Each 20–30 minute episode pairs personal storytelling with commercial insight, co-hosted by Gabriella Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures, and Ben Taylor.

Conversations cover founder journeys, product development, commercial strategy, fundraising, market adoption and the future of marine innovation.

Unlike traditional product-led marketing, the series gives founders space to explain not just what they’re building, but why – and how they’re navigating the realities of growing a company in a highly specialised industry.

Episodes are distributed across Yachting Ventures, Ben Taylor and Marine Industry News platforms, reaching a combined audience of more than 65,000 marine professionals via social media, newsletters and YouTube.

By limiting Season 2 to five recording slots, the presenters aim to maintain the same curated, high-touch approach that defined the first series, rather than scale the format at the expense of depth.

Participating founders also receive a marketing asset package: professionally edited short-form video clips, and written feature articles to support their own marketing and fundraising activity.

Gabbi Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures, says: “Palma proved just how powerful these founding stories can be – the response and engagement from the industry exceeded our expectations. Founders that participated in Series 1 told us the interviews became valuable assets for fundraising and business development long after the boat show had finished.

“Cannes brings together many of the industry’s most innovative companies, making it the perfect setting for the next season, and we’re excited to build on that success with Ben.”

Ben Taylor adds: “What stood out from Season 1 was not just the level of engagement, but the quality of the audience it reached. The series connected with senior founders, directors and owners across the industry, which is exactly who these conversations are designed for.

There is a clear appetite for more thoughtful, founder-led content in yachting. Content that goes beyond product promotion and gives the industry a better understanding of the people, strategy and ambition behind the businesses shaping its future. Cannes is the natural place to build on that.”
