Performance watersports accessories and equipment brand Rooster Sailing has entered into a partnership with the International Optimist Class Association UK (IOCA UK), adding to its existing UK class partnerships.
IOCA (UK) is the governing body for Optimist sailing in the UK. The agreement centres on support for sailors in the Optimist class, including those representing IOCA UK at international events. Team members will receive custom Rooster kit, including jackets, T-shirts and rash vests designed for competition use. The wider fleet will also have access to a range of IOCA-branded clothing for use on and off the water.
The partnership extends to the broader support network around sailors, including parents, coaches and volunteers, with a focus on improving access to equipment and preparation at events.

The Optimist class is commonly used by early-stage sailors as an entry point into competitive sailing. In a statement, Rooster says this new partnership is intended to support participation at that level and provide a route into higher levels of the sport.
In February, MIN reported that Rooster Sailing is making a decisive move into the Baltic market, appointing Estonia-based Baltic Sail as its new regional distribution partner in a step designed to unlock faster growth and simpler trade across northern Europe.
